About the role:

Are you passionate about connecting communities with knowledge and culture? We’re seeking a dedicated professional to implement, maintain and optimise library management systems and processes that ensure timely, accurate, and effective access to library and museum resources. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality services to all members of the community, supporting lifelong learning and cultural engagement.

 

Situated in the heart of the City of Belmont, our Library provides a wide range of library and museum services and engaging programmes for our diverse and developing community. 

 

About You:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you’ll need to hold — or be actively working towards — a relevant qualification in Library Services, Information Technology, Business Studies, or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you may demonstrate comparable experience in a similar role.

 

We’re seeking someone with extensive experience in systems administration of integrated library management systems and other library-specific software. A strong working knowledge of RFID technologies, including both software and hardware, as well as audio-visual solutions and their application in a Library and/or Museum environment, is essential.

Responsibilities & Duties include:

 

  • Administer and maintain integrated library management systems and related software.
  • Optimise workflows and processes to improve service delivery and user experience.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for library systems and equipment.
  • Manager RFID software and hardware, ensuring seamless operation and integration.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of audio-visual solutions within library and museum environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant standards and policies.
